Necrophilia typically means a sexual attraction to dead bodies. In a broader sense, there also describes a powerful desire to control another, usually in the context of a romantic or deeply personal relationship. Necrophiliacs tend to be so controlling in their relationships that they ultimately resort to bonding with unresponsive entities with no resistance or will- in other words, with dead bodies. That she was brow-beaten and kept down by her father, a selfish man who didnt want her to leave home because he wanted a housekeeper. With Emily possessing Necrophilia and having so many repressed memories of him, she sought to gain control over him by refusing to give up his dead body. Not long after, she had again began to feel like she was at a lost of control with a loved one, only this time it was with her fianc Homer. Once Homer failed to properly court and marry Emily, and makes a bold statement that he is not a marrying man, she begins to also feel distant and that hes getting away from her, she loved Homer and wanted him to be near to her. Emily ultimately transfers the control she has over her father onto Homer, and she takes his life to achieve total power over him also. After, Emily seemed even more isolated and out of touch with reality to the townspeople, because she never came out her house, truth being, she had no reason to come out when she has everything she needs at home.
