The Advertisement is a play in three acts by Natalia Ginzburg, first performed in 1968. The play follows the relationship between two women, Teresa and Elena who become roommates. Led by an advertisement, Elena comes to check out Teresa's house and eventually moves in. The two become good friends until Elena begins an affair with Teresa's ex-lover, Lorenzo.
