Nothing is a 2010 novel by Janne Teller with themes of nihilism, faith, sacrifice and morality. The book follows a group of children after Pierre Anthon, a seventh-grader, declares that life is meaningless and leaves school. In an attempt to disprove him, the children begin to amass a "heap of meaning" by sacrificing things they hold dear. The ritual spirals out of control without any adult supervision as the children begin to lose their innocence, making horrifying sacrifices to convince Pierre.
