Candy is a novel about a very attractive but naive girl named Candy Christian and her farcical sexual adventures. After losing her virginity to the family gardener, Candy's father attacks him, fracturing his skull. While visiting him in the hospital, Candy nearly has sex with her Uncle Jack, and becomes involved with Dr. Krankeit. Later she is seduced by a peace activist, Crackers, and is sent on a spiritual journey in India. Finally, in a freak accident, Candy is trapped in a temple and discovers her father there with her.
