There are five key elements that made the play so well-written and interesting to read because of how suspenseful it was. The five key elements are ambition, guilt, evil, courage and violence. After reading the book I realized violence was one of the key elements. It does teach us that violence is not the answer because the circumstances will just be worse and you will be hated. At the end of the play everyone hated Macbeth for the crimes he committed. He became so guilty for everything that he did that he overwhelmed Lady Macbeth causes her to commit suicide. I learned that violence is never the answer because in the end you could lose everything you worked for.

Ambition was another big attribution to the play. Without ambition Macbeth would have not accomplished anything. Because of his ambition he killed people just so he could be king. He was going to do whatever it took to become king. Having ambition can be a good and bad thing because if you want to achieve anything in life you have to have ambition to do it.

Macbeth was very evil in the play. Because of his ambition to become king he turned evil to get it. He didnt care who he hurt or killed on the way. The witches are evil because there the reason why Macbeth wanted to become king. They lied to him about the prophesy. Being evil in your life will only hurt you in the long run; no one is going to like you.

A lot of people in the play lacked courage. No one stood up to Macbeth until the end after he had killed many people. Malcolm and Mcduff both lack courage. Malcolm ran away because he was afraid he was going to be killed next. Mcduff also believes he is going to be killed so not only did he leave but also left his family. In order to get through tough situations you have to have some courage.

Guilt is the last key element that made the play so good. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth had a lot of guilt after he killed the king. Macbeth though was having hallucination from that. Guilt is not a good thing to have. Usually you have guilt after you did something knowing it was the wrong thing to do.

As a reader we can learn many things from the play. Being evil will only make u do things that you dont want to doing causing you to have guilt. In life though, it will always be good to have ambition and courage, as long as its used for good and not evil things. Macbeth showed what happened when you let ambition get the best of you for all the wrong reasons.
