Character Development
Prince Hal is a like a messed up rubix cube. He's all mixed up and it takes the right twist and turns and
manipulations to get all the color suites to match. He's on the same wavelength as you, but yet he is
dupping you and really kinner than you think when it comes to schememing and pulling the wool over your
eyes. At the end of this transformation, you see that the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree, it actually
stays pretty close to the trunk of it. Watching Hal and how he gains acknowledge about everything and
everyone is is eerie. He is like a piece sponge absorbing it all n and then squeezing out all the useless
excess water but keeping what matters in the pores.
This play really centers itself around Hal's growth and redemption in himself and his father's eyes. This is like the
age old story of where the child just isn't good enough in the parents eyes and then a life or death situation occurs and
the child gets redemption and matures and it's like," Oh, Wow!" I'm proud to call you my child, I just didn't see what was
truly in you all this time.. BARF! How does Hal develop and grow into the man that everyone is proud of now after being
such an immature dumbass? His father pretty much tells him, he's crap and he wishes that some other guy was his son
because Hal lacks discipline and respect and the behavior of what a future leader is. He went out drinking and doing
merriment with his crew almost all the time and it didn't click to him that he was ruining his reputation as the future king
and making a fool of his father. One long drawn out lecture from his father... Then, it's like Hal gets knocked on the
head and realizes maybe I am acting like a dumbass, He finally changes his ways and start behaving like the heir
apparent should.
Hal kinda always finds himself succumbing to peer-pressure.
